| Just wondering what everyone is going to be doing for Christmas. I know since i'm off school on December 14th, i'll probably work for a week to make some money , then i think we are going up north to a cottage. I don't think it'll be very very exciting, but atleast its a break from having to do school work | |

| I'll just be going home and hanging out with everyone. Pretty chill, which I need. Exams end the 8th and I don't go back until January 7th, so that's definitely a lovely break. | |

| Christmas day will be very busy for me again this year.
We get up early and do our own gift exchange at home and then the race begins. We head to my sister in laws to do Christmas with her and my mother and father in law. I have a nephew who is 2 so he's fun to be around Christmas morning. From there we go to visit my Grandparents to do our exchange there. Then we go to my mom, dad and Nanna's and do our exchange and my mom is doing Christmas dinner this year because when dinner is done, I have to head to work for a 12 hour night shift. 7pm to 7am. Unfortuatnely, the work I do is 24/7.
Blessed be, Lisa | |

| It will be busy but I try to fit as much as I can into my day. I don't want to miss seeing any of my family so I don't mind it too much. I have worked every Christmas for the past 6 years (except last year when I was off on sick leave but if I had been well, I would have had to work).
Blessed be,
Lisa | |

Blessed be,
Lisa wow, why do you work on christmas?? Lisa, i will answer him...but if u have something to add...please do . Well cpow, Lisa works at an emergency office and answers 911 calls. Therefore thats a job that is around the clock ofcourse for obvious reasons. I asume thats just how her shifts ended up working out, it is people like Lisa that save others lives, so thats why they (not only Lisa) has to work on Christmas | |

| Thanks Vash. I really can't add anything else to that as you have summed it right up. I have worked at Ambulance Dispatch now for 6 years and I have worked every Christmas. It's just the way the shifts work out. I am not happy that I have to work Christmas as I would rather spend it in the company of my family and friends. I have a very hard time working during the month of Christmas just because of the call types. There hasn't been a Christmas yet at work that has actually been a good Christmas at work. My job can be very sad sometimes.....
Thanks again Vash.
Blessed be,
Lisa | |
